SANYO LOGISTICS INC. was established in 1958. Their business began as a local trucking company delivering raw and fresh food in the Kanto region in the eastern part of Japan. All of their truckers are fork-lift certified and every freight-forwarding operator is well trained with extensive knowledge regarding both import / export procedures. They have since expanded the business by owning their own trucks.
They have their own warehousing facility which has both room-temperature and chilled areas where they can also manage packing / palletizing / crating the goods.
The forwarding arm of their business began in 2010. Usually, every operator would specialize in either import or export in Japan, but Sanyo Logistics managed to educate thier team to excel at both import and export in order to provide their clients with the best overall service.
Sanyo owns its own hardware. From their point-of-view, not owning a hardware makes a forwarding service inefficient, expensive and overall noncompetitive. Most freight forwarders do not have its own hardware nowadays so they operate using contracted and outsourced broker / trucker / warehouse facility. Sanyo sees this as one of their core strengths.
